Rollbacks

I've been informed that the changes made to the database yesterday have modified data on some forums which were using language packs with the wrong character set. I will restore those databases from backups ASAP, please send me a message and I'll add you to the list.

Edit: Removed some content which was no longer relevant :)

Re: Rollbacks

An addition: as I fix the forums, I'm also partly converting the main language pack they use to UTF-8 to avoid any new data being mangled. However, I can't fully convert the files from where I am, so the language files may display inaccurate text. I will have the ability to reencode the files in the next few days.

Re: Rollbacks

I am in the process of converting the language files.
iconv is a wonderful tool, by the way. Without it I would not be able to convert some of these language files (I just converted Ukrainian using it).

Re: Rollbacks

And finally, done. All language packs should be properly converted into UTF-8. Individual forums may still have truncated characters and they should be reported in the manner I have laid out above. Thanks to everyone for being so patient.
